‘Arsenic and Old Lace’

Imagine two sweet old ladies murdering 12 innocent people and burying them in their basement. You don’t have to imagine that if you come see Park Hill South’s production of ‘Arsenic and Old Lace.’

The place; Brooklyn. The year; 1942. Mortimer Brewster (played by Winston Penrod) is living the perfect life; he works a steady job for a New York newspaper and has just been engaged to Elaine (played by Caroline Bennett). But everything changes when he finds a dead body in the window seat of his aunt’s home. Further investigation leads him to realize that his Aunt’s, Abby and Martha Brewster, (played by Anna Lettera and Meghan Pate), not only killed the man in the window seat; but also 11 other people.

Follow Mortimer Brewster in his hilarious struggle to keep his aunt’s secret stowed in the basement and away from the police.
