Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare *****

Clockwork Prince is the second in the Infernal Devices prequel trilogy to the bestselling The Mortal Instruments series. I personally loved this book, I couldn’t seem to stop reading it. I often forgot that this book was set in 19th century London, it made talking about outfits a little confusing.

It had a since of adventure that keeps you reading and the imagination that went into this book is spectacular. This book takes you into a world of mystery, magic, love and the supernatural (warlocks, vampires, demons, shape shifters, and Shadow hunters). It has an interesting love triangle that will pull on your heart strings. I couldn’t get over knowing who she would pick and if everyone was going to live throughout the book. I also couldn’t help but fall in love with all the characters and wanting to know what happens to them and where their life goes. Even the smallest of characters help add on to the story.

I didn’t find anything difficult about reading this book, except that I couldn’t put it down. Some parts are a little confusing but after you keep reading everything is answered for you. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who has read the immortal instrument books or watched the movie and enjoyed it (same author).

The only thing I didn’t exactly enjoy about this book is it of course left off on a big cliff hanger that makes you want/need to read the next one. This book made me think about how anything is possible, maybe I’m just like the mundane’s in the book and I just don’t know what’s actually going on. Cassandra Clare did an amazing job letting her imagination flow onto paper and into the mind of her readers. I’m happy that I picked this book and I can’t wait to start Clockwork Princess.
