4) “Her”, January 10, 2014
Joaquin Phoenix is a good actor, man. If you saw 2012’s “The Master”, you know that. Here he plays a man that loses his wife and gets an operating system (no clue what that means), but it has the voice of Scarlett Johansson. She becomes a sort of best friend/girlfriend. I can’t really put the feeling into words but the trailer gives me Goosebumps. It also stars Amy Adams and Olivia Wilde. I’m really excited to see this movie.
5) “Captain Phillips”, October 11, 2013
Tom Hanks is arguably the best actor in the past 20 years. I look for him to continue his success in Captain Phillips. It’s already receiving Oscar talk, and I’m not surprised. It’s a true story and Oscar voters love that. Hanks is the only notable star, but he’s perfectly capable of carrying this drama.
6) “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa”, October 25, 2013
Alright. This is a guilty pleasure. But I’m a sucker for Johnny Knoxville. The dude is just hilarious. And while he may not provide top of the line cinema, but the guy knows how to make me laugh out loud. The raunchy trailer had me really excited. And the bad grandpa skit is one of my favorites. Look for this to receive terrible review but get plenty of laughs.
