With the musical “Spamalot” coming up fast, set for Nov. 10, 11 and 12, the actors, actresses, singers and dancers of South are doing all they can to prepare for the big show.

This year’s Spring Play is “The Three Musketeers,” chosen by Kyle Lackey, drama teacher.
The play is set in 1625. In short, the production is about a young man, who travels to Paris, named d’Artangnan, played by Joey Ford, sophomore. He longs to to become a musketeer.

You Can’t Take It With You was a huge success. The play just echoed with talent and comedy. It may be an older tale being written in the 1930s, but it goes to great depths to show the love someone can hold in their hearts, despite any little quirks.
It’s not traditionally a musical, but it has been given the South twist.
