Williams Stands Out on Basketball Team

South is a school of many sports the main sport students are interested in right now is basketball. One player on the team is Desi Williams, junior.

He talked about how the season was going and what’s he looking forward to going into postseason.

Williams said that “The season is good we started slow but now we are finishing up strong our record so far is 20-5.”

He had some personal goals for himself.

“I want to make All State and go down as the assist leader in school history as a junior,” he said.

That’s a high standard. He stated that he also had goals for the team.

“We have to make it to state there’s no other way around it and if we don’t it would be a huge disappointment,” he said.

This made sense as seniors and juniors you should want to go to state these your last few years of high school.

He then talked about his  high school basketball coach, Danny Parra.

“I love all my coaches. The energy the coaches bring and the plan they bring to every game is remarkable,” he said.

Williams and the team will play their final home game Friday night against St. Joe Central.
