Out of 12 South students who entered the Tim Murphy Student Visual Arts Exhibition, 6 students had artwork that was selected to be in the show out of 191 works chosen from 1008 entries from high schools across the area.
Cienna Newett, Senior, won an honorable mention for “Brady Holding Kinn” in the Computer Generated category.
Marcus Klein, Junior, also won an honorable mention for “Something New” in the Photography category.
Five other students, Audrey Klein, Seth Dunfield, Logan Benner and Rowan Wilson, senior, also had art shown in the exhibition.
The art will be displayed through the month of December at the Irene B. French Community Center in Merriam, Kansas.
