The Chiefs won a crucial game on Saturday that placed them ahead in the AFC West. They beat the Chargers 30-13 at Arrowhead Stadium. Marcus Peters played hungry getting two interceptions.
This was Peters’s first game back since he got suspended for foolishly throwing a flag into the crowd against the Jets two weeks ago. People thought this would devastate the Chiefs secondary. They were already struggling having allowed the second most receiving yards to receivers in the NFL.
This was the opposite as the Chiefs had a good game against the Raiders and got their season back on track. With the win against the Chargers they are 8-6 with a win streak of two
Peters was arguably was the best player on the field. He was targeted just six times the whole game and allowed zero catches on him. Peters has led the NFL in interceptions since his rookie season.
He held Keenan Allen to just five receptions and 54 yards. Allen had four straight games of 100 plus yards and four touchdowns in those games.
Another player that stood out in the game was rookie Kareem Hunt. he carried the ball 24 times for 155 yards and one touchdown. He also caught 7 receptions for 51 yards and one receiving touchdown.. Excluding the last two games Hunt has been held in check, getting 50 plus yards on once in five games.
The Chiefs will need to win at least one of their last two games to get into the playoffs and keep all of Kansas City’s spirits alive. South also has many fans of the Chiefs.
Cameron Koeniguer, senior says, “ I think we can win the Super bowl if they can keep playing the way they have the last two games.”
The Chiefs played the Dolphins and the Broncos in their final game and will look to finish the season strong.
