Serving up a Victory

All three girls volleyball teams won their games last week

The Freshman, JV, and Varsity volleyball teams all won their games against Liberty North on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

On Monday, Sept. 18, Jamison McClaran, a sophomore on JV, said that the coaches “drilled” the qualities they had gotten beaten on the week before.

“I’ve worked hard on the skills I feel I need for the game tomorrow,” said McClaran.

After the game on Sept. 21, Andrea Cote, freshman, said that the Freshman team did very well, winning in three games.

“We did a lot of fighting to try to win the game,” said Cote.

She also said that the team needs to make sure they don’t get in a dead spot where they start to not trust themselves.

Makenna Ornes, a freshman on JV, said the freshman team “deserved the win” while saying that all teams did amazing. JV won 2 games to 1.

“There is always room for improvement and that could include missed serves, passes, etc; but as we work hard in practice, those things will be improved on,” said Ornes.

All three teams have their final home games within the next couple of weeks.
