Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Last tuesday Sydney Warren and I made a baked macaroni and cheese recipe we found on pinterest randomly. I honestly don’t really like macaroni and cheese normally but this one was different, I loved this one.

Although it was amazing, it did take quite a bit of ingredients to make which is a con. To make this dish you need the following:

                   Macaroni and Cheese Sauce

  • 1 and ½ cups of uncooked elbow macaroni
  • ⅓ cup of unsalted butter
  • 4 and ½ tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 and ½ cups milk
  • ½ tablespoon mustard powder
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup of fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup of grated mozzarella cheese

                                Breadcrumb Topping

                 – 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

                 – 1 cup of panko breadcrumbs

                 – 1 clove garlic that is minced

                 – ⅛ teaspoon paprika

                 – ¼ teaspoon salt

Making the dish itself honestly isn’t too awful, you just have to make the macaroni itself, make the cheese sauce, and breadcrumbs. Then you coat the macaroni in the sauce, sprinkle of the breadcrumbs and pop it into the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. I highly recommend this to everyone even if you don’t normally like mac and cheese, just give it a try you won’t regret it.
