The Volleyball team is off to a hot start this year with a record of 7-1. After a tough loss Wednesday at Park Hill, there were obvious flaws in the team’s game, and the girls were quick to point them out.
“Not everyone was on that night, and it just came down to [Park Hill] making less mistakes than we did,” said Kacy Lewallen, Junior. “It really just comes down to focusing on the little things in practice that’ll help us limit some of those errors we had.”
The hard work in practice showed, as South was victorious over Raytown 2-0 in straight sets.
“We served aggressively and used last night as an opportunity practice speeding up our offense,” said Lewallen, who followed up with the keys for the rest of the season. “We need to focus on mainly on communication and limiting our errors against good teams that will take advantage of them.”
The next home game is Monday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m. against Lee’s Summit so be sure to get out and support!
