The 13th Zodiac Sign

NASA has shaken astrology believers to their core by discovering the new zodiac sign, Ophiuchus.
Though, technically, Ophiuchus isn’t new. The zodiac signs were created by the Babylonians about 3,000 years ago. The zodiac originally had 13 signs, but the Babylonians had to take one out to fit their existing calendar, dismissing the fact that the sun moves through 13 constellations.
In a Tumblr post, NASA explained why no one should be having an identity crisis.
The post reads, “Here at NASA, we study astronomy, not astrology. We didn’t change any zodiac signs, we just did the math.”
So the people in NASA aren’t trying to wreck your horoscope, they just rediscovered a fact that was rejected by ancient astrologists.
NASA also pointed out astrology isn’t real science.
Although some people define themselves based on their star signs, get zodiac tattoos, or read their horoscope to predict their future, the zodiac is human made. So all of the astrology believers out there can rest easy because, as history shows, humans make mistakes.
