Jamaal Charles suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in game five against Chicago. This is a devastating loss for the Chiefs as they lose their leader and top rusher.
The injury occurred when Charles made a cut in the open field and went down on Sunday, Oct., 11. Even though this was a non-contact injury, it is one of the worst an athlete can have because of the amount of rehab it takes to get that muscle back.
“It’s a shame to see Jamaal go down like that, he is such a great player and will be missed,” said Christian Holferty, sophomore.
Charles tore his left ACL earlier in his career. Later to return and set a career high season, rushing for 1,509 yards in 2012.
The Chiefs need either Knile Davis or Charcandrick West to fill Charles’s shoes. With a 1-5 start to this 2015 season Kansas City needs someone to step up and lead this team.
“I’m really bummed to see Jamaal go through this again, when I saw the play my heart dropped and so did my fantasy team,” said Tucker Horn, sophomore.
Charles is loved by not only Chiefs fans but fantasy gurus, as he is a top scorer every week in fantasy football.
“Jamaal was the heart and soul of my fantasy team and now my season is about to go in the tanker,” said Braeden Denney, freshman.
Kansas City has little expectations of doing well this season with the loss of their star running back.
