Left Behind is a series of 12 best-selling novels by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins dealing with the viewpoint of the end of the world. It is a Christian based film. Millions of people suddenly vanish and frantic “survivors” start searching for their family and friends. No one has any idea of what’s going on. The pilot (Rayford Steele), his daughter (Chloe Steele), and Bruce Barns (the pastor) began to realize that the rapture of the church has happened. The world goes in chaos as they try to deal with what is happening but it is a huge tragedy. But if you’re a believer, it’s a beautiful day.
I would rate this movie three out of five stars, simply because I really think they should have made the movie longer and added bigger details to it. It ended like everyone expected it would. With it being as short as it was, it took at least thirty minutes for the main story to get going. When it finally got to the climax the action scenes were great but no one wanted to wait that long to finally see what was going to happen. On the other hand, the actors were fabulous and they had a really good story line. This film makes it clear that we should care for others around us and not only for ourselves. Overall I think they could of put a lot more work into this movie.
