Park Hill South’s volleyball team managed to pull through and make it to state! In sectionals this past weekend they had to win two games. The first game they won was against Blue Springs, an easier win for the volleyball team. The second game was against Lee Summit West. This was an intense game but the team’s high spirits and determination gave them their win that led them to advancing to state.
“We have been working hard all season to make it where we are now. I don’t think anyone has worked as hard or deserves it more than we do. The only way we were able to make it here was because each and every player worked for one another and refused to quit.” Junior volleyball player Sammi Nay said.
State is held in Cape Girardeau, MO this upcoming weekend. The first match the girls play is against Lafayette on Friday at 3:00. For the last three years Lafayette has taken the state title.
“Anything can happen at any given time. Every point matters. As long as we play how we know how to play I believe we have a great possibility to be state champs.” Nay says.
