New Season, Old Players

This being the final week of the NFL preseason, most fans are ready for the regular season to begin.  As always there are certain players to watch going into week one.  The player that had the shined the brightest last season was Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson.  Peterson came within nine yards of breaking the league’s single season rushing record.  He obviously has a lot of weight on his shoulder’s going into this season and many fans hope that he can provide another spark for the Vikings.

Another player to look out for is San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick.  Kaepernick led the 49ers to the super bowl last year, and almost pulled off the biggest comeback in super bowl history.  You could say that Kaepernick has a lot of expectations for this year since he showed the entire league the things he is capable of doing.  By rushing for more than 100 yards one of the playoff games Kaepernick established himself as a dual threat quarterback and is force to be reckoned with.

There are obviously many more players to watch this season but those are the two who stood out to me.  Whether you are cheering for one of these two players or for one of the hundreds of others, you can’t lie and say that you’re not ready for this season to begin.  With a new season always comes young talent.  We will have to wait for the first couple of games before we will really know who the outstanding rookies will be.
