WTF (What the Foolish)

Politics, the economy and sports have always been the popular topics that many media outlets have covered have typically been hard news topics; however, these certain topics have also featured weird news stories.

In light of the tragic event that is Trayvon Martin’s death, Congressman Bobby Rush, D-lll, wore a hoodie while giving a speech Wednesday in remembrance of Martin’s passing. The Representative from Illinois was escorted from the floor for this stunt of his.

“Racial profiling has to stop Mr. Speaker,” Rush said in his speech. “Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum.”

I get having a speech in remembrance of a young teen who was killed-it’s a good thing-but don’t make it out to be something extremely dramatic than how it already is. However, the speech did help raise more awareness to politicians about this issue.

Media outlets are now asking if airlines are still safe-not because of possible terrorist attacks-but because of pilots who have dramatic outbursts mid-flight. Clayton Osbon, pilot for JetBlue, had a mental breakdown on the plane and is now facing federal charges including up to $250,000 in fines and 20 years in prison.

One passenger on board tweeted that the pilot “went nuts.”

MANANANANANANANA BATMAN! BATMAN! When Montgomery, Maryland police pulled over a black Lamborghini with a bat symbol as the back license plate, they weren’t ready for who was the driver.

It was the one and only Batman. Upon pulling him over, police didn’t give the caped crusader a speeding ticket, but instead took some photos of him and let him speed off. This Batman is self-made millionaire who entertains sick children at local hospitals.
